Chipmunks can over run your property, and make it impossible to enjoy your residence. They destroy the grass, and are like a magnet to other such animals. These rodents, can bring mice and rats, which in turn can cause disease. This is a very effective method for getting rid of unwanted chipmunks.
5 Steps how to get help with chipmunks
- Look in the phone book for the number of Animal Control. Explain the problem you are having and that your property is being overridden with chipmunks.
- Explain to them, that you know that they are carriers of disease,and that they attract other such rodents.
- Tell them that they are destroying your lawn, the grass and more.
- Make sure that you stress the fact that you need them to trap them immediately and inform them of how you can make sure that other chipmunks do not take their place.
- Learn what chemicals you can put down on your lawn, to deter them from making your property, their property so that you can enjoy your home and your lawn.
How to set a DIY chipmunks trap
- First fill the bucket 2/3 full of water.
- Put the screw in the 2 by 4 and lean it against the bucket so the screw keeps it up and it won’t fall.
- Fill the bucket up with seeds so you can’t see any water.
- Make a trail of sunflower seeds going up the board.
- The chipmunks should climb up, look inside, see a bucket full of sunflower seeds and jump in and drown.
- Use the sticks to check for chipmunks.
